Wanda Schofield, MSW, RSW, MBA, BSW, BA is a Clinical Therapist with over 30 years of social work experience grounded in compassion, practical strategies, and evidence-informed practice. Wanda offers a supportive space to help you better understand your emotions, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Her training encorporates, CBT, DBT, EFT, MI and Harm Reduction strategies and integrates trauma-informed therapy with a focus on helping clients navigate anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and difficult life transitions. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed or simply seeking greater balance, Wanda works collaboratively with you to build resilience, restore confidence, and support your mental health goals.

Individual Counselling

Through Individual Counselling, Wanda helps clients navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges with clarity and support. Together, we will set goals, and apply tools that promote resilience and long-term physical and emotional well being.

Couples Counselling

Couples Counselling helps partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and navigate conflict in a respectful, goal-focused way. This support is grounded in practical, compassionate mental health therapy to help you reconnect, clarify needs, and move toward lasting change together using attachment based interventions.

Family Counselling

Family Counselling offers a collaborative therapy to address persistent tension, miscommunication, and emotional distance within the family system. Wanda works with families to reduce conflict and repair connections, set boundaries, and strive toward more positive relationships. She has a special interest in family estrangement, parent alienation and blended family issues.

Personality Disorders

Individual counselling for personality traits designed to help clients and loved ones understand triggers, manage intense emotions, and develop healthier relationship patterns. Wanda engages in  compassionate, client centered care that examines past experiences and trauma while strengthening present distress tolerance and emotional regulation. Substance Use Counselling

Substance use counselling provides a confidential, judgment-free space to explore patterns of use, triggers, cravings, and the impact on your relationships, work, and quality of life. Guided by a harm reduction approach, clients learn to set realistic goals-whether moderation or abstinence based-while building resilience and relapse-prevention strategies.

Foster Care and Adoption Concerns

Therapy to address foster care and adoption-related concerns such as grief and loss, loyalty conflicts, contact with birth family, and adjustment to new roles. Practical, professional counselling helps caregivers and adoptees build resilience, manage stress, and create a sense of safety and belonging. Wanda worked with children in care and caregivers as an adoption and foster care worker for many years and has lived experiences of the foster care system and adoption in her family of origin. This is the primary reason she became a social worker!
